elevating brand design & digital experiences

Hi there! I'm Katie. I love to design intentional, design-forward, bold pieces and to help build effective digital strategies.

With over thirteen years of experience on three corporate, in-house marketing teams for B2B SaaS startup companies, I have a solid background in graphic design and digital marketing. My work style includes a strategy-driven design approach sprinkled with attention-to-detail, lots of lists, and obsessive organization while creating assets at fast, pixel-pushing speeds.

Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to lead all aspects of digital and design projects at MDClone, a startup tech company out of Israel. The fast-paced, infrastructure-building, creative atmosphere is where I thrive, and I’ve been thrilled to be able to expand and champion their brand, rebuild and redesign their website, execute email marketing, develop a robust newsletter and LinkedIn following, create and deploy assets for our sales team, design an engaging pitch deck, manage social media and SEM advertising, storyboard and direct animated promotional videos, and so much more.

Throughout my career, I have been exposed to many marketing projects including logo development and branding building, event marketing and trade show booth designs, lead generation campaigns, corporate culture revitalization, company mergers, point-of-sale campaigns and a whirlwind of other print and web experiences in both B2B and B2C realms.

A Digital Arts and Design graduate from Dakota State University, I am a self-driven learner, having dipped my hands into many independent, colorful side projects including a photography business, an Etsy shop, freelance design, a personal Wordpress blog, this Squarespace site, and the founding of the non-profit artist organization, JAM Art and Supplies as well as becoming Google Ads certified.

Most recently, my passion project revolved around the founding of the hyperlocal clothing company, Westward Wandering Co. With a following of 5,400+ people on Instagram who rally around a love for beautiful western South Dakota, the clothing company embraced the Black Hills lifestyle mixed with minimal, comfortable graphic tees.

If I’m not at my computer, I’m out hiking, running or biking or lifting weights, touring local coffee shops, walking my pup, playing tourist in western South Dakota, chasing two little kids around, or eating a second lunch.
